According to a report by F4WOnline.com, Jim Cornette is apparently done with Global Force Wrestling, after only a few weeks with the promotion.
The report states that Cornette is no longer with the company due to the decision on where to hold the Bound For Glory pay-per-view, which was announced earlier today. Due to the event being in Canada, Cornette cannot travel across the border to be involved in BFG and the series of television tapings taking place afterwards. This is due to Cornette’s assault record from his years of being a manager and has been unable to do so since 2010.
Cornette was brought into be the on-screen authority figure, after Jeff Jarrett was forced to depart from the company for personal reasons, which was the only reason Cornette returned to the company in the first place. Also, Cornette was frustrated with not being in the loop of creative and backstage discussions and the report states that he only spoke with Bob Ryder when it came to backstage operations. It’s being said that Cornette is expected to go into these topics on his next podcast.
As for the company, Sonjay Dutt and Scott D’Amore are currently running creative and the company wants to move away from authority figures and focus on the in-ring and talent.
