According to a report from Deadline.com, 16-time World Champion John Cena has landed another big Hollywood movie role, co-starring with comedian Kumail Nanjiani.
The movie has not been given a title yet, but the report states that the plot is a buddy-cop movie with Cena and Nanjiani as the lead characters. This is the latest role Cena has obtained, along with Transformers: Bumblebee, which he is playing the lead role, and has been rumored for the role as DC Comics hero Shazam.
Cena, who was just defeated by Roman Reigns this past Sunday at WWE No Mercy, has not been advertised until November, which would hint at Cena being off WWE TV for the near future.
