The complexity of this story continues to get worse for WWE.
According to Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, John Cena has told WWE creative that he will not be participating in the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
Cena is scheduled to be a part of the World Cup tournament, which is currently planned for Crown Jewel. The report claims that Cena asked to be replaced, but Meltzer couldn’t say exactly why Cena wants out of the show.
Many are speculating it could have something to do with the recent controversy surrounding the event or it could have something to do with a scheduling issue.
There have also been rumors that Daniel Bryan is also refusing to appear on the show, but Meltzer stated that he couldn’t confirm that. The report originally came from Barstool Sports’ Robbie Fox.
