Earlier this week, we reported that Impact Wrestling will be moving their programming in January of 2019 to the Pursuit Channel.
The company will be leaving Pop TV after being with the network since 2015.
According to PWInsider.com, this new TV deal with the Pursuit Channel is a non-exclusive deal. This allows Impact Wrestling to stream their programming online and on other platforms.
In addition, Impact Wrestling views this as a temporary home, as Pursuit is known for their hunting and outdoors programming. Impact officials hope to stay on the Pursuit Channel until they can secure a deal with a bigger network.
There were reports in November of this year that Impact Wrestling was getting interest from networks such as TruTV, WGN America and even Syfy, which recently lost WWE SmackDown LIVE.
The report also noted that the departure between Impact Wrestling and Pop TV was mutual and there is no bad blood between the two sides. Pop TV is reportedly rebranding their network to be more women friendly and didn’t see Impact Wrestling in that future.
At this time, it’s unclear Impact Wrestling will stream their TV programming online.
