Reports surfaced on PWInsider.com Monday that Vince McMahon was interested in a WWE return for Alberto Del Rio. Earlier today, reports started suggesting that Del Rio and McMahon met recently at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
There are new reports as to why Del Rio was in Stamford. Apparently Del Rio was there to film material for a special about Rey Mysterio. It is said at some point Del Rio and Vince spoke, but again a return was not the focal point of the visit.
Del Rio is under contract with Impact until the end of April. It is believed they want him back and have made him a priority.
