Earlier this week in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is the top seller in merchandise in all of WWE right now when it comes to full-time performers.
Meltzer noted that since John Cena has cut back on live event dates and has shifted into a part-time role with the company, Reigns has taken the number one spot and Meltzer noted that “there’s nobody ready to take his place.”
The report also noted that John Cena will be taking time off after WrestleMania for several movie roles that he already has lined up (“The Wall”, “Daddy’s Home 2”, “Ferdinand” and “The Pact”).
The company obviously views Reigns as a big asset, which would explain why they have been hesitate to change anything about his character, especially a heel turn, which fans have been begging for.
