Ronda Rousey is set to return to WWE.
- Earlier in the year, WWE Vice President Nick Khan stated publicly that he expected to have Ronda Rousey back “in the future.” It could be as early as this Saturday at Royal Rumble.
- Ronda Rousey hasn’t competed in WWE, or appeared on WWE TV, since WrestleMania 35.
- At WrestleMania 35, Ronda Rousey lost the RAW Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat Match to Becky Lynch. This match also involved Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair; who also lost her championship when Rousey was pinned by Lynch.
According to numerous sources, most notably Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Ronda Rousey is set to return to WWE for WrestleMania; possibly even as early as this Saturday at Royal Rumble.
To be fair, many of the other ‘Twitter Friendly’ wrestling reporters had the story too.
The reports from all of these guys range from “WWE is pushing for a Rousey Return” to “Rousey is set for WrestleMania.”
With the Royal Rumble set for this Saturday, it will be filled with speculation as the Women’s Roster has been thinned out considerably over the last year with many releases and injuries plaguing the division.
Even current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch fueled the current speculation by responding to the above tweet by Bleacher Report with a retort of her own.
