According to a report from Raj Giri on Wrestling inc, WWE has released Sasha Banks.

  • At this stage, it is unknown whether or not this release is official.
  • Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful has stated that he has spoken to contacts in WWE who have not heard this news. However, Sapp also believes Raj Giri has credible sources.
  • Sasha Banks is still listed on WWE’s active roster, although is currently suspended indefinitely for her recent ‘walk-out’ of a WWE Raw broadcast.

In recent weeks, Sasha Banks has been rumored to have requested her release; with various news reports even suggesting that her attorneys are working to get her out of her current WWE contract.

While it is currently unknown if WWE will grant her a release, it is rumored that a larger run in Hollywood may be in the plans for “The Blueprint”.

One would have to believe that All Elite Wrestling would be interested in acquiring Banks, who is unquestionably one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet, but it is unknown whether or not she is interested in that potential opportunity. It is also unknown if AEW would be willing to bring her in.

Meanwhile, it is believed by many that the issues between Sasha Banks and WWE will eventually work out and that hits report is merely clickbait…which is absolutely plausible, whether intentional or not.
