The exodus of talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling appears to be far from over. At least, according to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer. It looks as if Trent Baretta & Chuck Taylor, collectively known as “Best Friends”, are set to leave NJPW.
Following Kushida and for the time being, Kenny Omega, Baretta & Taylor are the next set of talent who will be moving on.
However, Baretta apparently was offered a new contract, a big push, and more bookings. According to other sources, Baretta told New Japan management that he would be willing to re-sign, though those rumors have not been confirmed.
It appears Baretta & Chucky T will be moving on to All Elite Wrestling once their time in New Japan Pro Wrestling is complete.
