According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, back in December, Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Cemen met with top Lucha Underground officials.
It’s being reported that WWE was interested in several top Lucha Underground talent, but apparently nothing came from this meeting and both sides walked away with no deal of any kind in place.
Also, Meltzer let it be known that TNA Impact Wrestling met with Lucha Underground about doing a joint show during WrestleMania 32 weekend in Dallas, Texas, but according to reports, Lucha Underground officials turned that offer down. The reasoning for that is still unknown.
