MYSTERIO REMOVED FROM NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING “STRONG STYLE EVOLVED”

It looks like the big first time ever match between Rey Mysterio & Jushin “Thunder” Liger has been cancelled. The match was set for this Sunday’s “Strong Style Evolved” event.

However, it looks like Will Ospreay will be taking Mysterio’s place on the mega event in Long Beach Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California.

Rey Mysterio suffered an injury to his bicep recently at an independent show that put this match into immediate jeopardy. This also seemed to derail the rumors of Mysterio’s return to WWE.

There has been no announcement on whether or not Mysterio’s NJPW debut will take place, but I’d assume that he will make up this booking with a future match.

The main event of this show will be Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi (The Golden Lovers) taking on The Young Bucks in what is sure to be a Match of the Year Candidate for 2018.
