Earlier this week, we posted on the website that a top WWE Superstar was offered a contract from All Elite Wrestling.
A popular Twitter account @WrestleVotes, which has broken stories in the past, would not reveal the name of the person offered the contract.
In an update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com elaborated on this during his SmackDown LIVE recap show.
In the video, Sapp cannot confirm that Randy Orton was actually offered a deal from AEW, but says that the name being talked by @WrestleVotes is indeed Orton.
Sapp stated that he was told by a credible source that Orton has been vocal backstage about being open to listening to offers from All Elite Wrestling.
Sapp also stated that when asking AEW for a comment, they have denied participating in any contract or talent tampering. If you’d like to hear exactly what Sapp said, you can click here to watch the video.
With multiple conflicting reports, it’s hard to say how much truth there is to Orton actually being offered a physical deal. It’s more likely that Orton has been vocal about being open to listening to contract offers.
