According to unconfirmed reports from DirtySheets.net, it’s being said that WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon has squashed the idea of the potential storyline between WWE’s “four horsewomen” consisting of Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte going head-to-head with MMA’s “four horsewomen” consisting of Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and Shayna Baszler.
Earlier this month, WWE shot an angle hinting at the possible match between the two sides during the Mae Young Classic:
However, the report states that Vince McMahon was not involved in the booking of the first interaction or the video seen above. The reasoning being presented by the report states that due to the fact that neither Rousey or Baszler are under WWE contract, the company doesn’t feel comfortable putting the mixed martial artists in the ring to compete.
Now, obviously this report should be taken with a grain of salt as it has yet to be confirmed by any credible sources and would go against common sense booking after seeing the two sides having several interactions. Also, this news could change if any of the MMA “four horsewomen” were to be signed to a WWE contract, especially Rousey who has been rumored to be interested in joining WWE in some form.
