According to a report from ProWrestlingSheet.com, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin is back in talks with WWE about a potential return to the ring.
Benjamin was originally set to join the SmackDown LIVE roster during the draft extension, but after participating in a physical by the WWE medical staff, it was uncovered that Benjamin needed surgery on his left shoulder, which led to the return being put off.
After months of rehab, Benjamin is back to full strength and WWE is interested once again. It is still unclear of SmackDown LIVE will become his new home or if he’ll be moved to Raw. We’ll have to wait and see.
