Earlier this week, WWE EVP of Talent, Creative and Live Events and show-runner for NXT, Paul “Triple H” Levesque posts a poster on his Twitter account hyping up the upcoming NXT U.K. Tour at the Download Festival.
Almost immediately, many fans noticed that former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura wasn’t featured on the poster, which has many thinking that Nakamura is on his way up to the main roster before the Summer time, which is when the tour is.
Here’s the poster:
UK… #AreYouReady? @WWENXT goes across the pond for #NXTLIVE & @DownloadFest from June 5-11. Tickets on sale FRIDAY at 10am GMT. #WeAreNXT pic.twitter.com/r0hY8NVD53

Now, to be transparent, it could easily be a marketing campaign to push Superstars that look more like the audience that will be in attendance for the Download Festival. There are also reports that Vince McMahon has been pushing for Nakamura to make his way up to the main roster, preferably Monday Night Raw, but hasn’t found a good enough reason to as of yet and doesn’t want him to get lost in the WrestleMania shuffle.
Of course Nakamura will be up on the main roster eventually, but this poster could mean that he will be on the main roster between after WrestleMania and before SummerSlam.
