Many have noticed that the Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) have been missing from WWE television for several weeks, but we’re not quite sure why.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this absence is due to a leg injury sustained by Akam, who underwent knee surgery this past week.
There is no word on how or when exactly Akam was hurt. The report did not clarify how serious the injury is at this time, but the duo is expected to remain off TV for at least two months.
There has been unconfirmed reports that they could be off TV until after WrestleMania.
The report cites that The Revival replaced AOP on the house show circuit and are expected to do so until they return.
