According to an advertising poster for The Big Time Wrestling independent promotion, WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk will be making a return to the wrestling ring at the age of 73.

The hardcore icon will be wrestling at the September 23rd event, which will be held at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Funk will team up with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express to go up against Brian Christopher, Doug Gilbert and Jerry “The King” Lawler.

This news is making the rounds due to the fact that Terry Funk has been dealing with several medical issues over the last few years and some thought that Funk was done for good until recently.

  1. Terry Funk at 73 would be a coup in any locker room. His passion for the business is second to none, and he’s no bullshitter. Just the knowledge he has will add to that locker room. If someone told Terry Funk he was too old, you might get the shit slapped out of you. His promo’s were believable, because that is Terry Funk. Watch and learn folks.
