During an appearance last week on Kelly & Ryan on ABC, to promote Hobbs & Shaw, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced he quietly retired from WWE.
Inactive for the greater part of 15 years, the actual announcement is hardly surprising.
However also not surprising is once again Mr “Honor and Tradition” did things the wrong way.
The same who has the honor or retiring Stone Cold Steve Austin, was never interested in giving that same honor to anyone else. Once again The Rock is a selfish self absorbed hypocrite who spews his family tradition and respect Grade A Monkey Crap but doesn’t act on any of it.
Combine this news with the news that he is being noncommittal to either a SmackDown Live on Fox appearance or a SmackDown 20th Anniversary appearance just shows once again he could care less about WWE or giving back to the company and fan base that made him who he is today.
If he is actually telling the truth for once, good riddance Dwayne I hope we never see you near a WWE Ring again.
