According to PWInsider.com, TNA officials continue to talk with former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron about joining the company and signing an exclusive contract.
In the past, talks haven’t really amounted to anything, but it’s being said that TNA officials backstage have been very aggressive in their efforts to sign El Patron. Alberto has shown interest in Impact Wrestling, but is unsure about signing an exclusive contract, due to his dealings in several other promotions.
With new ownership taking over, TNA officials feel like Alberto can be a big signing and can help the struggling brand regain some of their popularity. At this time, the two sides are reportedly trying to come to an agreement on a deal.
