On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that TNA Impact Wrestling are in talks about gaining investors or selling the company completely.
The talks with this investor, Meltzer said, are “relatively serious.” This investor is reportedly looking for 55% percent of the company. However, current TNA president Dixie Carter is said to be opposed to giving up majority ownership of TNA Wrestling to whoever this potential investor may be.
This is a developing story, so we’ll keep you posted.

I think this deal was with Fight Network.
Last night’s IMPACT was such a well-booked show.
The Pope/Lashley segment was gold – I got goosebumps and that didn’t happen in a long time with me in wrestling. I always liked Pope. I met him and he was a cool guy actually.
But yeah – this Pope/Lashley thing is the best thing in pro wrestling all year – I was glued to the tv.
They need to make Pope champ.
And when did Lashley get so much better on mic?
Good stuff.
Pope has good charisma.
Another good segment was that Eddie Edwards/ Shane Helms one.
I liked that.
It was cool seeing EY and Roode get pinned yesterday – love seeing them have to job – they should have been doing that all along – TNA would be in better shape.
Glad they are leaving. They never helped numbers – said it forever.
IMPACT got good numbers this week – glad to see it – Pop’s #1 original program.
I love it.
Plus Pope vs Lashley is the best storyline this year thus far.
And glad they are getting rid of the dead weight of EY and Roode.
IMPACT got over 300,000 this week.
That is awesome because POP execs said they’d be happy with just 100,000 per week.
TNA is EXCEEDING expectations.
Great job.
