TNA News: Awesome Kong Sent Home for Alleged Assault Backstage

TNA news coming out of the United Kingdom as former TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong was sent home after an apparent backstage altercation with Reby Sky aka Matt Hardy’s wife.

The following report comes from PWInsider.com who has received information on the incident from various sources. Firstly, the heat between Awesome Kong & Reby Sky goes back a few years. Back in 2013, Kong ripped Reby on a shoot interview for KayfabeCommentaries.com on a segment entitled “The Ho Bag.”

Apparently, Kong was just retaliating from some comments that Reby Sky made about Sid Vicious of all people missing an independent wrestling show. Ah, the tales of backstage pro wrestling.

Reby responded to Kong’s comments in classy fashion:

“Not aware of this, if it is true. Doesn’t make much sense, as I don’t know her on a really personal level & we have been nothing but nice to each other in passing at shows. We’ve actually texted back & forth a few times, so if she now has a problem with me, I can only attribute it to one thing/person. Fake as f**k to be nice to my face & talk s**t to a camera if its true, but no shocker there. That’s 99% of the women in this business anyway. Next.”

Earlier today at the TNA tapings, Awesome Kong took exception to Reby Sky dressing in the knockouts locker room. Sky left, apparently to discuss the situation with TNA Management. Also, this is the first time Reby has dressed in the locker room with the other Knockouts, according to PWInsider.

What happens next is bizarre. Kong either:

A) Attempted to go after Reby for not apologizing for those comments years ago, but was stopped.

Or

B) Which the source heard from far more people; Kong apparently “throttled” Reby around the neck and assaulted her. Moments later, the assault was stopped by TNA Security & TNA Agent Pat Kennedy. Also, Matt Hardy’s young son was extremely close by to her mother when this went down.

Kong was abruptly sent home from the tapings with good reason.
