According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there is a belief among some that within the last 24 hours an official agreement has been struck regarding the sale of TNA. Per Johnson, Anthem Sports and Entertainment has officially purchased TNA from Dixie Carter. The expectation is that she’s done with the company as far as having any true position of power. Ed Nordholm of Anthem will be the lead person going forward.

This Thursday’s Impact Wrestling will be the Hardy New Year with a recap of the Hardy story as well as material from the Hardy compound. Johnson reports there will be something unique on the show that has never been done on pro wrestling TV before.

  1. I’m into it. Dixie, as hard as she seemed to try, just wasn’t good at wrestling…both in front and behind the camera. She had a couple of shining moments like the whole Dixieland rules thing and her creation/evolution of Ethan Carter III. It’ll be interesting how EC3 is regarded after this move storyline-wise.
