Last week on Monday Night Raw, WWE shot an angle which placed Kofi Kingston out of action after the Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson) attacked Kingston’s leg after defeating the New Day during their debut.
As you can expect, the injury angle was a way to get Kingston off TV to take care of a nagging ankle injury. Kingston received arthroscopic ankle surgery and will be out of action for 2-4 weeks.
There is no word on when Kingston was injured, but Kingston last worked on the March 26th, 2017 house show in White Plains, NY. As we all know, the New Day were drafted to SmackDown LIVE this past week during the “Superstar Shakeup.” When being drafted, WWE showed a graphic stating that the New Day would be making their way to SD Live “soon.”
