UPDATE:

In an update provided by WWE.com themselves, Brian Kendrick was examined by medical professionals in Chicago, IL and came to the conclusion that Kendrick sustained a fractured nose and fractured orbital bone as a result of being hit with Hideo Itami’s finisher.

Here’s the video:

There is no official timetable for Kendrick’s return, but it appears that he will be out of action for the foreseeable future. It should be noted that this same injury occurred to former WWE Cruiserweight Austin Aries and kept him out of action for several months.

ORIGINAL REPORT:

This past week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Brian Kendrick went one-on-one match with newly drafted superstar Hideo Itami. During the match, Itami performed his signature move, the GTS (Go To Sleep), on Kendrick, which resulted in a victory for Itami.

On second glance, it appears that Itami’s knee made more contact than anticipated with Kendrick’s face and resulted in Kendrick being legitimately hurt. According to PWInsider.com, Brian Kendrick was taken to the hospital to be examined by medical professionals for a possible head injury.

The report doesn’t state if anything was seriously wrong with Kendrick and there has been no news on his condition. It was speculated that Kendrick sustained a concussion and could be out of action for several weeks.

We’ll keep you posted as more details become available.
