According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is once again talking about putting together a match that will feature WWE’s “four horsewomen,” which consists of Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte going head-to-head with MMA’s “four horsewomen” consisting of Ronda Rousey, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and Shayna Baszler.
These plans at one point in time were nixed when WWE didn’t see the appeal for a match of this ilk and decided to no longer pursue the idea. Well, according to Dave Meltzer, these plans have changed and WWE is currently eyeing this match for WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Apparently, WWE originally wanted to pit this match for Survivor Series, but felt that the theme of RAW vs. SmackDown LIVE overshadowed it. Past reports have indicated that WWE would rather have Ronda Rousey in a solo match, but since signing Shayna Baszler to a WWE developmental contract, WWE now sees the upside to a stable vs. stable feud.
Meltzer also noted that Ronda Rousey has spent the last week or so in Orlando, FL at the WWE Performance Center.
