This past Monday night on RAW, Matt Hardy‘s Broken gimmick that made him one of professional wrestling’s hottest acts in 2016 finally made its way onto WWE television. Being dubbed “Woken”, Matt’s WWE run is set to make a right turn and it is being reported that the boss himself loves the character.
Sports Illustrated has reported that Vince McMahon is a big fan of Woken Matt Hardy and sees money in the character and trusts Matt to make the gimmick work after two decades of working with each other. SI has also reported that McMahon has granted Hardy a “creative license” that will give Matt full creative control of the gimmick.
This is big news that is sure to make the fans very happy. If the Woken gimmick goes over similar as it did in 2016, then it is sure to be a resounding success.
