The American Airlines Arena announced that on July 9th, WWE will present the Raw brand Pay-per-view event Great Balls of Fire, which will feature Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Championship. The rumor is that Lesnar will defend against Braun Strowman, but that has not been confirmed.
No word on who will be challenging Lesnar as of yet. There is also no word on why WWE went with the name Great Balls of Fire. It is no secret that Vince McMahon is a fan of pop culture from his era & the name could have very well come from the famous 1957 song “Great Balls of Fire” by Jerry Lee Lewis.
This song was also remade about a thousand times & could be considered one of the most popular songs ever. Just a thought.
