In a weird turn of events, Jack Swagger is reportedly still under WWE contract, as the company has declined to grant him with his release.
Here’s an official statement from a WWE spokesperson:
“Jack Swagger has not been granted a release from his WWE contract. When he is granted his release, Jack Swagger will remain under exclusive contract to WWE for 90 days and will be compensated accordingly during that period.”
Swagger was schedule to face Alberto El Patron in a WrestleMania 29 rematch on March 11th, 2017 in the U.K. for WWE Superstar Paige‘s family promotion. Obviously, Swagger has been pulled from that event and will not be allowed to perform 90 days after WWE does eventually grant him his release.
