According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials are reportedly interested in the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada.
Apparently, WWE is really high on Okada, most notably for his size. Being 6’3, with good size, he’s been on WWE’s recruitment list in recent time. Similiar to AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, WWE will have to offer Okada a large amount of money, due to the fact that NJPW has offered Okada a 5-year deal to stay with the promotion. It’s unknown if Okada has accepted the deal or not.
WWE is also interested in other names within New Japan Pro-Wrestling, other Japanese promotions, Lucha Underground and many other promotions.
