Fresh off of the news they WwE has signed Ricochet, War Machine, and Candace LaRae, it appears WWE may not be done adding new talents.
The following report port contains spoilers so read at your own risk.
Serena Deeb is currently at the Performance Center training. Her return has been speculated about ever since the Mae Young Classic. Now it appears her return is a matter of when not if. Deeb is known for her run in CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society in 2010, Buy was released for “breaking character” when she was spotted having a drink in a bar.
EC3 was written out of Impact Wrestling in definitive fashion at the recent tapings this past week. He recently trademarked his name, so that would not be an issue if WWE chose to use the character. It is believed that there is already mutual interest, so a deal for the former Derrick Bateman could come together quite quickly. The one issue could be which character WWE would want portrayed. Chris Hero returned under his old Kassius Ohno name, so the precedent is there.
Chelsea Green (Laurel Van Ness) was finally granted her release from Impact Wrestling this week as well. The year long girlfriend of Zack Ryder has a great chance of being picked up by WWE. There is no word if she has a no compete of any kind.
Bobby Lashley was also written out of Impact Wrestling this week. Early reports have stated it could be 50/50 between WWE and Bellator MMA. Lashley left of questionable terms quietly in 2008 after being unhappy about an angle involving his wife Krystal Marshall, as well as “problems” with then head Smackdown writer Michael Hayes. Lashley does has a February 1st date on his contract, so that would rule him out of a surprise Royal Rumble appearance.
Because Impact Wrestling tapes so far in advance, it would still be between March/April before any of the above would end up on WWE/NXT TV.
Other names to to keep an eye on in coming months are James Storm (who already finished up with Impact Wrestling), Chris Masters (announced his Impact Wrestling departure this past weekend), and Eli Drake (deal is up in April when Impact Wrestling tapes again).
