Multiple sources are reporting that WWE will apparently be featuring the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic as an annual event each year from here on out.
The tag team tournament was launched following the passing of the WWE Hall of Famer and longtime NXT trainer as a way to honor his memory. The initial tournament was launched on the September 2, 2015 edition of NXT and ended at NXT Takeover: Respect, where it was won by the team of Finn Balor and current NXT Champion Samoa Joe.
