According to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer are reporting that former WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte has requested time off from the company. This could explain why WWE decided to move the title off of Charlotte and onto Sasha Banks on Monday Night Raw this past week.
There is no word if the request was personal or physical.
It was obvious that the plan was for Sasha Banks to chase the title going into WWE SummerSlam. After dropping the title, Charlotte was expected to feud with Dana Brooke. It’s expected that Charlotte will be taking her time off after SummerSlam.
