This past week on WWE SmackDown LIVE, commissioner Shane McMahon and general manager Daniel Bryan announced that they will be holding a tournament to decide the new WWE U.S. Champion, after the title was vacated by Dolph Ziggler, who won it WWE Clash of Champions.
Earlier this week, the bracket for said tournament was revealed:
It should be noted that this past Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE, Jinder Mahal and Bobby Roode advanced in their respective matches.
The tournament will run through the 2018 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which is where the finals will take place and a new champion will be crowned.
